Novotny/Osborne Scholarship

This scholarship was established in January 2001 by Tom Novotny and his wife Jeanne Osborne Novotny as a tribute to students of Dumas High School. Mr. and Mrs. Novotny had lived in Dumas before he retired from Cactus Feeders and they wanted to give back to the community.

Eligibility

  • Graduating senior from Dumas High School
  • Restricted to middle and lower class family income, some financial need
  • Recipient may receive other scholarships as long as those scholarships are not based on athletic ability and they do not total more than $7,000 at the time of high school graduation.
  • Maintain a 2.5 or better cumulative GPA while in college
  • Major in field of choice at college/university of choice

Scholarship Amount

  • $14,000 for 8 undergraduate semesters
  • Renewable award pending committee review of renewal application
